Future Stars

Each year, approximately 20 promising para-athletes in Finland are selected to join the "Future Stars" group coordinated by the Finnish Paralympic Committee.
These athletes train to reach the level required for elite sports in their respective disciplines.
Most participants remain in the group for several years.

The Future Stars attend four training camps annually at the Paralympic Training Center, located at Pajulahti Sports Institute.
The camps include sport-specific training sessions, joint recovery exercises, expert lectures, and visits from elite athletes.

The students of Xamk interviewed some of the athletes and the staff working in this programme.
